In Santiago Atitlan the old ways still prevail. This is a crowd of believers at a Good Friday procession, crowded around an ancient Mayan God, Maximon. The traditional headress, the toycoyal, can be seen on the women (3 in the lower left, for example). Santiago Atitlan is on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, in Central America.
